Every Student Belongs in Music

Your generosity connects students in financial need with the power of music through matched, student-owned instruments, music camp scholarships and ongoing support.

Programs

Every student belongs in music and a deserves a chance to pursue their dreams. Let’s remove the financial barriers so any student can take part in music, from their first instrument to a college scholarship.

Instrument Match

From beginner to performance-quality, we match instruments to students in financial need based on their interests and fit, not just what’s available.

Beyond the Match

The costs of lessons, fees, auditions, trips, etc. can strain already strapped family budgets. Financial support fills those gaps, so students aren’t left behind.

Scholarships

From attending summer music camp to majoring in music at college, these awards help students grow and be where they belong.

At Last Count…

Over 4,355 instruments and 768 music camp scholarships have been awarded to students who now have confidence, connection and creativity through music.

INSTRUMENTS

MUSIC CAMP SCHOLARSHIPS

Founded in Kansas City. Built on Community and Belonging.

Band of Angels began in Kansas City in 2009 through a partnership between two community legacies: Meyer Music and FOX4 TV. The idea was simple: match quality instruments with students who want to play but face financial barriers. We aimed for 50 instrument matches that year but reached 300. And it’s only growing bigger every year.

Who We Serve

We support students who want to participate in music but face financial barriers. Some are just picking up an instrument for the first time. Others are preparing for auditions, summer camps or college. Through instrument and financial donations, we meet them at every stage, knowing everyone belongs in music.

  • Students who have passion but not resources
  • Families looking for support to start or keep their student in music
  • Music educators advocating for students in need
  • Donors and volunteers who believe in level playing fields for all students
