A silent art auction in the Crossroads to benefit Band of Angels
I have been nominated to be a Band of Angels Rock Star. As a Rock Star, I’m fundraising for the local KC charity Band of Angels. Band of Angels gives free instruments and music camp scholarships to kids in financial need.

Being a Band of Angels Rock Star has a special personal meaning to me. Many moons ago, I was a strings player in school. I played the viola, and even though it was short-lived I enjoyed it. I also always wanted to learn to play the piano, unfortunately, I never got the chance to give it a try. Maybe in my next life, I could be the next Alicia Keys (lol). I’ve always loved music, all types of music honestly. I believe music brings people from all parts of the world together. I mean who doesn’t love music? Music is like an escape and it’s good for the soul! Also last year I lost my 15-year-old nephew to a tragedy, his name is Angel. The name Band of Angels Rock Star alone had me sold not only the name but the mission. Being a part of this great cause, the amazing things (they) do for music lovers all over are phenomenal! Just as a whole (this) makes my heart happy to be a Band of Angels Rock Star. Thank you for having me!
