“I want to show why it was given to me.” Says Band of Angels Recipient Ahmarie
High School Student Ahmarie was so thankful to finally have a saxophone of her own from Band of Angels! She’s been showing her thanks by playing beautifully and practicing hard. We invited Mark Rivera, the longtime saxophonist for Billy Joel, to jam with Ahmarie, talk about his own musical journey in his life, and share some wisdom with her.
After they jammed, Band of Angels surprised Ahmarie with concert tickets to Billy Joel’s show in KC! Ahmarie impressed Rivera with her talent and enthusiasm for music; Band of Angels knows that wherever Ahmarie may go in her musical studies, our gift to her has changed her life.
