About the Event
Local artists have repurposed donated, nonfunctional musical instruments into pieces of art. Guests may bid on the pieces during the silent auction starting at 5pm. Following the silent auction, ticket holding guests may enjoy a live rooftop performance by musician Drew 6 while overlooking the breathtaking Kansas City skyline. Check out last year’s pictures.
The Event’s Goals
The artists’ skills are the star of the show here, taking instruments that are beyond or too costly to repair and repurposing them into works of art. The goal being to auction off these instruments, which would otherwise be worthless, as art with proceeds benefiting the students Band of Angels serves.
Thirty artists are lending their time and talent for the 2015 event, where thousands of dollars will be raised for Band of Angels.
