The Heart Strings Gala brings our supporters together for an evening of fun and fundraising. Proceeds are used to fund instrument purchases, provide full scholarships to summer music camp, and assist with music lesson tuition for kids in financial need. Your support will help develop an endowment that will allow the charity to carry on its mission and work.
About the Gala
2018’s event will feature the GG’s, an all-female group that plays a mash-up of pop and funk, full of feminine energy and youthfulness. For the 2017 event, guests enjoyed a performance from special guest saxophone artist Ryan Kilgore, as well as fine catering from Nick & Jake’s and Plaza III, desserts from Sugar Rush, and a silent auction.
The Evening’s Goals
The Heart Strings Gala raises funds to support all of the programs Band of Angels offers throughout the year, including summer music camp scholarships and providing band and orchestra instruments to Kansas City students in need of one. Last year’s event was the most successful ever, raising over $70,000! We hope you can join us and help break records for 2018.
