What does being a Rock Star mean to you?
My definition of a rock star is a person that lets their light shine and shares the spotlight with others. Rock stars are authentic and passionate and tend to possess the magical ability to inspire and uplift others.
What was your first concert, when, and where?
The first concert I can remember attending was a Juneteenth festival in Memphis, TN. My sisters and I spent our summers there visiting our grandmother and she granted us permission to attend. The headliner was the rapper YoYo and we loved her song “Don’t Play With my YoYo”.
Who is your favorite musician or group?
Sade
What is your hype song and why?
Juvenile –Back Thang Up. It reminds me of my freshman year in college at Tennessee State University in Nashville, TN and it gets the crowd going. No one can resist when the familiar beat drops.
You can help me and this great cause by joining me at Art That Blows, Band of Angels’ annual charity art auction. With an open bar, DJ, and amazing art, it’s going to be the best summer party in the Crossroads!
